Samantha J. Hauff, M.D.

Dr. Samantha Hauff is a board-certified otolaryngologist/head and neck surgeon. She grew up in Michigan and has a lifelong love for unsalted water and midwestern food. She traveled east to Baltimore for college, where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Johns Hopkins University, graduating with Phi Beta Kappa honors. Dr. Hauff moved to the West Coast for her husband’s Navy career, and she fell in love with San Diego and the surrounding areas. In 2017, she completed her 6-year residency training in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at UCSD Medical Center. She worked for a time in Chula Vista before opening Sunset ENT in 2020.

Dr. Hauff is an active member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery Foundation and the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy. She considers it a great honor and privilege to serve the San Diego community.

Michael J. Coulter, M.D.

Dr. Michael Coulter is a board-certified otolaryngologist/head and neck surgeon. He studied BioChemistry and earned his Bachelor of Science at Stony Brook University, while starting as the football team’s Quarterback. He then graduated from medical school at his alma mater with top honors including Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Honors Societies.

After medical school, he was commissioned as a United States Navy Officer. His naval commitment brought him to San Diego for his residency training in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at Naval Medical Center San Diego, where he was awarded the Navy commendation medal. His dedication to science and evidence-based medicine is apparent, demonstrated by his 15 peer-reviewed journal publications.
