Dr. Howard K. Herman, who has been practicing with ENT of Georgia South since 1993, received his bachelor's degree from Boston University and his medical degree from the Boston University School of Medicine. Postgraduate training included an internship in general surgery at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City and residency in Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at The New York Eye and Ear Infirmary.

Dr. Young H. An received his medical degree with honors from the University of Illinois, College of Medicine in Chicago. Dr. An completed his residency in Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at Emory University, with pediatric ENT training at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta - Egleston Hospital, in June 2005. Dr. An specializes in minimally-invasive management of nasal obstruction and chronic sinusitis. He has extensive experience with office-based Balloon Sinuplasty procedures, and has served as an instructor for surgeons nationwide on Balloon Sinuplasty for Johnson & Johnson and Acclarent. Dr. Paul E. Free received his undergraduate degree from Auburn University and his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham (UAB). He completed his surgical internship and residency in otolaryngology at the Medical College of Georgia (MCG) in Augusta. Dr. Free is double board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and in Sleep Medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. He is also a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy.

Michael Sylverster, MD

Michael Sylverster, MD

Dr. Michael J. Sylvester brings an exceptional level of expertise and dedication to his patients as both a subspecialist Rhinologist and Otolaryngologist - Head and Neck Surgeon. After completing his undergraduate studies at Princeton University and medical school at Rutgers University, Dr. Sylvester completed his residency in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Michigan. During his residency he was trained by world experts in head and neck surgery, including sinus surgery and facial plastic surgery. He also completed an NIH funded advanced research fellowship investigating chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps and allergic asthma. After residency he completed Emory University's fellowship in rhinology, gaining additional subspecialty training in advanced sinus surgery, rhinoplasty, and allergy.
