Alexander D. Goldin, MD., a Chicagoland native, joined the Ear, Nose, and Throat Center in 2002. He attended college and medical school at Emory University where he was selected to membership in Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed the Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago Eye and Ear Infirmary and affiliated hospitals (Children’s Memorial Hospital, Cook County Hospital and Michael Reese Hospital). He joined the staff at Lutheran General Hospital in 2002. Dr. Goldin practices all aspects of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and has special expertise in surgery of the thyroid and parathyroid glands.

Michael K. Layland, MD., was raised in the Chicago suburbs and joined the Ear, Nose, and Throat Center in 2004. He attended college at Duke University and attended medical school at University of Illinois at Chicago where he was selected to membership in Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He completed the Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery residency at Washington University in St. Louis. He joined the staff at Lutheran General Hospital in 2004.

Dr. Layland practices all aspects of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and has special expertise in medical and minimally invasive surgical treatment of sinus disease, treatment of tumors of the head and neck, salivary gland and thyroid gland diseases, hearing disorders and the treatment of snoring and sleep apnea.

He completed internship and residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Florida. He joined the staff of Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in 2018.

Dr. Balamohan practices all aspects of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery and has special expertise in surgical and medical treatment of sinus disease, treatment of head and neck tumors, thyroid and parathyroid surgery, treatment of voice disorders, treatment of allergies, and hearing disorders.
